Convergent Wealth Advisors Recruits Two In The US Capital

Former GenSpring advisors Sheila Stinson and Michael Slud have joined Convergent Wealth Advisors as managing directors, in a move expanding the firm's multi-family wealth offering. 

Stinson will work with ultra high net worth families as well as help with Convergent's wealth education and governance efforts. Meanwhile, Slud will focus on goals-based investment strategies. Both are based in Washington, DC.

In other recent news at Convergent, at the end of June the firm hired John Elmes as president, replacing Doug Wolford, who was appointed as chief executive in 2014.

Convergent, an independently-operated affiliate of City National Bank, manages $6.4 billion in assets as of March 31, 2015, and serves clients with at least $5 million in assets. Independence by Convergent is a division of the firm aimed at clients with $1 million and more in investable assets.
